I caught this little bugger in the backyard of my country house. He escaped the deadly blades of my lawnmower but, unfortunately, lost his tail in the process.
Never mind, National Geographic says he'll grow another one.  So I picked him up (OK, I chased him around the yard) and put him on top of this old well. He was a really good model, very still and very cooperative. I took about 30 shots of him from all kinds of angles and he patiently waited until I was done and then just buzzed off. Thanks, little dude! Anyways, I hope you like it, I think it's a pretty neat shot. Just a bit blurry but then again, this was at 135mm hand held. Ever since this got a DD I've been getting tons of favs and messages. Thank you all but the 20% of you who wrote that this isn't a gecko - I KNOW! I just thought "Gecko" sounded cooler than "Lizard" or "Reptilius Tinyius Whateverus"  ____________________ Almost no postwork, just a bit of Vibrance in camera RAW. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
